Her new album is more than a collection of songs, it’s a mirror of our own stories, the strength that resides within us, a call to embrace our vulnerability, and a reminder of the importance of movement. Her music drifts towards a soulful, modern folk sound, with a powerful voice and lyrics that permeate the senses.

Leah started at the age of two in Calgary. She fell in love with ballet early on and didn’t branch to other genres until she was around ten years old and fell in love with all forms of dance. Leah choreographed a solo for a fellow dancer at the tender age of thirteen and knew immediately that she wanted to become a teacher. Leah began her teaching career as a Junior Teacher in Fort McMurray at the age of fifteen and worked her way through to level 8 Al Gilbert Tap, Cecchetti Junior Ballet Graded Teacher course and completed close to fifteen different teacher training workshops as in Edmonton, Calgary, Arizona, California, New York and online. Leah opened her own studio in 2012 (as The Dance Studio Oliver) and still has a huge passion for passing her knowledge on, even as she continues to learn, to future generations. “I believe all it takes to be a “dancer” is a love for moving to music and the willingness to give it all you got in every class”

1. houseguest 2025 by audrey storey - docks - FULL SIZE.jpg

houseguest is an all-trans post-emo rock band based on unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territories. Their brand of off-kilter garage rock stitches together moody guitar hooks and an intimate rhythm section; the band fuses these elements together beneath evocative lyrics and disparate-yet-harmonious dual vocal performances. In 2025, they released their debut ep, cry about it and in march, their follow up single divine creation. TL;DR: think Mitski meets Modern Baseball, with a side of shoegaze.
